Most veterinary biocidal products can pose a risk to the environment, human and animal health and life. For this reason, advertising that misleads or inaccurately presents information about the properties of a product, its uses, or the necessary safety measures can have serious legal and financial consequences.
Regardless of the format of the advertising content (texts, audio and video recordings, etc.), advertising of veterinary biocidal products must comply with the requirements set out in EU and national legislation. This is ensured by expert evaluation of advertising of veterinary biocidal products.
Taking into account the type of product, the target market, and the advertising channels used, we provide the following services:
- We ensure that advertising content complies with current legislation.
- We check that the advertising does not contain any prohibited or unjustified claims, such as “low-risk biocidal product,” “non-toxic,” “environmentally friendly,” etc.
- We provide advice on visual communication, assessing whether illustrations, colours, symbols, and product designs could create misleading associations.
- We prepare and adapt advertising texts in accordance with the language and advertising standards of various EU countries.
Advertising veterinary biocides: what to pay attention to?
- Advertising of veterinary biocidal products must comply not only with general advertising rules, but also with the specific requirements set out in the BPR Regulation.
- Advertisements must not contain statements that downplay the risks of using the product or give the impression that the product is completely safe, natural, or harmless.
- Visual solutions must also be responsible: it is prohibited to use images or packaging that resemble food or beverages or that could attract the attention of children.
